CIVILITY IS CHEAP.
Sir,—l deplore the strain' of "H. 15. Campbell's" (whoever he may be) letter in Saturday's issue.. The. tone of it would seeni to bear out my: previous letter, respecting "civility"' of • "Civil" Servants. The facts are, nevertheless, as'l stated in your issue. of . last Thursday, As one who has travelled abroad, I re. gfet .'having to call attention to the. matter of my unfortunate treatment and needless running about in search of important information. No matter what rank, calling, or profession, a man may follow in life, he should always endeavour to be obliging and courteous—even in war time. This _ has always been my motto, and from infancy I have always spoken the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth—in plain, simple, straightforward language, just as I■. find things—even in war time. . Neither from amoral nor pecuniary point of view would, I derive any benefits by relating what was not in ■ accordance with facts.—l'am,. .: " .-'.';. COUNTRY VISITOR. ■,'
