Christcfiurch, Mny 8. f ' At the General Synod, Dean Carring> ton presented the report of the Commission set up to consider tlie recommendations of last Synod, re, the supply and training of carididates for the ministry. . Tho report stated that owing to the 'conditions arising out of tho war it was difficult to deal with the matter in a practical manner. The Principal and a number of the students of St. John's College had enlisted, and theological students of Christ'a College l iad enlisted. Tho Ohuroh, after the war, should accept soldiers wishing to study for the ministry. The time had genu by when candidates eould'bo expected ; to Una nee themselves when undergoing training. The expense of training vas likely to become a. primary charge oil ' the funds of the Church. The Dean gave notice to move that' the report be referred io Synods of tho dioceses and provinces for consideration-.
