AV. Manton, and W. Bridson. Legislation Committee: W. J. Bridson (convenor), Hon. J. G. AV. Aitken, A. S. Biss, A. de B. Brandon, AV. F. Cuthbertson, T. C. Dawson, AA'. G. Foster, and M. Myers. Tho finances of the Chamber showed a credit of £115 18s. 3d. Accounts amounting to £175 18s. lid. wero passed for payment. Tho resignation of Mr.. 11. AA'ardell was received. It was left for tTio president to deal with.

Tho secretary read a report of, "a deputation from the 'Chamber to tho Jlinistor of Customs in conncctiou with ad valorem duties. A report on a deputation to tlio I'riinc Jlinistor by the Hemp Committee iu regard to shipping space for flax was presented. > The matter .of obtaining receipts for goods delivered at flag stations, where a staff is kept, was referred to the United Chambers of Commerce. One member suggested that as they could get no satisfaction: from Mr. Hiley they should'wait on the Minister of Railways. ■It was decided to support the Marton Chamber's request iu connection with .die advocacy of a Lovin-Marton deviation in the Main Trunk railway.
