The market closed very strong. Compared with March closing rates, choicest merinos advanced 5 per cent., medium 10 per cent., and faulty 10 to 15 per cent. The Russians are still taking good scoured, otherwise all merinos are taken for the Home trade.. Fine cross- : bred advanced a, halfpenny,. coarse a penny, medium a penny, scoureds folly 5 per cent., and slipes a penny. All classes of lambs' wool were 7i per cent, dearer. It was a confident market, with the widest Home competition throughout.
