(From Our Special Correspondent.) Tho following are the nominations of officers and committee received for the Wairarapa- and East Coast P. and A. Society for the ensuing period:—President, Mr. A. Clark; vice-presidents, Messrs. C. Morgan and C. Reid; treasurer, Mr. E. Eagle; auditor, Mr. J. Moncrietf; General Committee, Messrs.' A. E. Anderson, A. E. Booth, W. How. ard Booth, Sir AValtcr Buchanan, H. 11 Bunny, 3. W. Compton, F. Court, H Daysh, W. 0. Deller, W. Fisher, J. Fisher, J. Hodder, R. G. Kemble, H. M'l'hee, F. T. Playle, W. A. Pyke, T. Reid, and E. Tunnicliffe. As the number nominated does not exceed the number of vacancies to be filled, the above have been declared elected. . Mrs. C. Walker,-of Kaponga,. who was killed in a motor-car accident near New Plymouth on Wednesday, was a sister to Mrs. E. H. .Hawker, of Carterton. • The' funeral of tho late Mr. J,. A.. Whittaker, who died at Wellington on Monday last, took place at the Olarevillo cemetery on.Thursday, and was attended by a representative gathering, in. eluding a number of the brethren of the Druids' Lodge, of which deceased was a member. The service at the grave was conducted by the Rev. R. Young, vicar ol St. Mark's Church.
