VIVID DESCRIPTION BY A CORRESPONDENT * Ey Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. May 7, 5.5 p.m.) London, May 5. The "Daily Chronicle's" Salonika correspondent gives a vivid narrative of the'destruction of the Zeppelin.'Ho says the night was cloudless, and the raider's coming was announced by the oity being plunged into darkness. Suddenly tho watchers saw the searchlights catch the raider seven thousand feet, over the Gulf. Other searchlights quickly followed, and the silvery form of the Zeppelin was visible for a quarter of an hour." Then the British naval anti-aircraft guns opened out, and a hurricane of shells burst around the in* vader. The shooting was wonderfully accurate. One shot was seen to pass practically through the air vessel, another burst in the centre. The new French incendiary shells lit up the town in the course of their upward flights. Tho naval shells could bo followed by traces of the Zeppelin, which seemed to lose its bearings, and headed seawards, presenting a broadside to the warships. Then two blazing shells struck the tail. These afterwards proved to he incendiary shells from a French aeroplane, which ascended despite the darkness, directly the raid was announced, and got above the raider. The Zeppelin's tail dipped and seemed almost to writhe. Then it dived at an angle of forty-five degrees. The onlookers lost sight of it for half an hour, until a great flame lit°up the sky, and there was a dull roar. The Zeppelin had fallen in the Vardar delta, fifteen miles away. Either the bombs exploded or the crew fired tho airship. Five unexploded bombs were afterwards found in the wreckage.

ANOTHER ZEPPELIN APPARENTLY BADLY DAMAGED. (Rec. May 7, 5.5 p.m.) London, May 6. The "Daily News" Rotterdam correspondent states that fishermen report that Zeppelin L 9 was sighted in tho North Sea flying very slowly, apparently badly damaged. _____ ZEPPELIN L2O EXPLODED BY NORWEGIAN SOLDIERS. Stavanger, May 5. As tho wrecked Zeppelin L2O was rolling dangerously, soldiers exploded it with shots at fifty yards. There was a great detonation.
