■' mi. DANIELL EE-ELECTED CHAIIUUAN. 'l'he annual meeting of the Wellington Harbour Board lor tne olection of chairman was held yesterday afternoon, there were prosent: Messrs. 0. 15. Daniell, J. W. Al'Jfiwan, J. G. Cobbe, C. W. Jones, W. T. Hildretli, I\. letcher, M. Cohon, H. L. Nathan, E. A. bright, J. G. Uarknoss, ]i. E. Sinclair, W. Cable, M'Earlane, and A. H. Hiudmarsh. II l'' 6 ' o '' l6 '' proposed that Mr. Darnell be chairmuu. 110 said that Mr. l)auioll had given a great deal of his time and attention to tho work and had found that- tho position was no sinecure. It was duo to him that he should.havo another" year of office. Mr. Jones, as one of those originally favouring a countiy chairman, said Mr. Daniell hud quite justified his selection. 111 his second year he would probably du even better than in his' first year. The nomination was supported by Messrs. Co'hen, Cobbe, Hildretli, M'Farlane, Nathan, and M'Ewan. Mr. J. 6. Harkness, as tho defeated oaiididato of tho previous year, added his congratulations. There wore no other nominations, and Mr. Daniell was declared re-elccted, He briefly returned thanks.
