RAINY SEASON SETS IN. . The High Commissioner reports: — London, May 2. "East Africa.—General Smuts reports that the rainy ( season set in yesterday with great violence. The enemy holds a strong position ou the hills south-east of Kondoa Irangi." ' . (Rec. May 3, 9.40 p.m.) London, May 2. It is reported that a small British force moved -out from Bushare on April 29 and attacked tlio enemy, who was strongly entrenched in the vicinity. The enemy was quickly driven off, and the troops returned unmolested.
