London, May I» the rebel proclamation states: "In the name of God and the dead generations, fiom uhich Ireland* has received her traditions and nationhood, we summon lieland's children to strike for freedom. Having waited for the right moment, and trained our manhood through the secret revolutionary organisation, and tnrough the Irish Volunteers and the Irish Citizen Army, Ireland strikes m full confidence of victory, supported by her exiled children in America and her gallant Allies in Europe." The proclamation claims the right for the'people of to the owner* ship of Ireland; foe unfettered control of Irish awtime,, v. ba sovereign and indefeasible. '
