THE AUCKLAND ATTITUDE.' 'In with the formation of * I New Zealand Returned Soldiers' As- ; lociation here on Saturday last, tho' promoter, Captain Donald Simson, received the following urgent telegram from the, Mayor of Auckland (Mr. J. H. Gunson) yesterday.— ■'I regret exceedingly that inadvertently your wire was overlooked. I placed it aside purposely to visit the club, and subsequently omitted to .reply. The Auckland' boys deoided that until their own association is fully'established, and- their rules adopted, which will happen ,on Wednesday ovening, tliey had better defer attending. Ariy conference as a matter of policy they are aearfcily in accord with, and any effort Df'a Dominion character-in tho interests of .the men rrill be heartily supported by the Auckland Association."
