. 9 RAILWAYMEN TO CONFER WITH WATERSIDERS AND MINERS. The quarterly meeting of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, is now being hold. Several mattoiis of importance to members are under discussion. To-day a conference will take place between 'the society aud the Enginedrivers' and Firemen's Association. The council of the A.S.R.S. has also agreed to acccdo tb a request to confer witli the waterside workers and minors. The executive would not at present mako any further pronouncement as to any possiblo future developments. Questioned as to whether any reply had been received to representations (apart from tho matter of wages) made to the Prime Minister six months ago, the executive stated that up to the' present nothing-whatever had been received. ;
