At the conclusion, PlatoonSergeant Reeve;'"' in l regretting tho rather meagre attendance of members, expressed the opinion that the advent of the : Saturday half-holiday, which meant 'that Friday was now tho late night, had materially affected the parades. Ho added that it was his intention to move -later- on that... parades be held on 'Saturday afternoon', and in referenco to recruiting he suggested that the whole of the unit 'should unite with the committee recently set_ up by the local Borough Council, with a view to pursuing a vigorous recruiting scheme, including tho 'canvassing of the"* town.
