CAUCUS AND CONFERENCE By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, April 28. Mr. Holman and other Ministers were absent from the Labour .Conference, which postponed further censure motions. FIRM STAND OF MINISTERS. CAUCUS IS CONCILIATORY. (Rep. April 28, 10.10 p.m.) Sydney, April 28. At a special meeting of the Labour caucus, Mr. Holman stated that lie wasnot disposed to' deviate from the position ho took Tip at the Labour Conference oii Wednesday night. He placed the resignations of himself and colleagues in the hands of ths caucus, and declared that unless ths conference re-versed-its decision the Government was not prepared to go on. A long debate followed. Some members took up the position that, as tho caucus had nob elected tho conference, Mr. 'Holman was wrong in making the conference's censure on the Upper ITouso a vote of no confidence in tho Government, and no notice should be taken of the conference's notion. Eventually a proposal was submitted that a delegation be iippointed to place tho position before the confcroiicti to-night (Rec. April 20, 1.30 a.m.) Sydney, April 28. The caucus delegation placed the position before the Labour Conference, Mr. Meagher pointing out that if the conference insisted upon the censure motion the resignations-would bo handedto the Governor, and Mr. Wade would probably bo sent for. Other delegates intimated that none of the members would take office if this Ministry resigned at the instance of tho Industrialists. Tho discussion was postponed until .Monday.
