Official. —The raiders dropped over a hundred bombs in the Thames Estuary last night, but caused no casualties. WARM RECEPTION FOR THE RAIDERS. TORNADO FROM THE ANTI-AIR-CRAFT GUNS. London, April 26. The air-raiders at Essex and Kent enountered iiumoious auti-airciaft guns. clLells burst m every direction, many near one Zeppelin, whose crew were baffled and unable to shako off tho searchlights, which rendered flight at a loner altitude too dangerous.' Another Zeppelin fiom the south-cast appioaohed Kent in tho darkness Tlieio was a teinhe explosion when a bomb dropped in the sea Tho anti-aircraft guns and searchlights were busy, and the raidei lapidly disappeaied inland, going northward. No bombs were dropped by this or the third Zeppelin inland. The latter was clearly scon filing low. The searchlights picked her up and the anti-saroraft guns loosed a heavy file The raidoi rose lapidly, tinned, and disappeared A bomb fell in the gaiden of a Kentish vicaiage, dug a hole Bft deep and 12ft. wide, and rooted up a. sycamoro tree. Another bomb, in Essox, lnado a hole 20ft. wide and 10ft deep. One Zeppelin was seen to quiver before making a hurried escape. Andthoi Zeppelin, tiavelhng at a great height, finally escaped the coastguards' powerful searchlight, and vanished.
