CHURCHES OF CHRIST

CONFERENCE CONCLUDED. The annual conference of the Churches of Christ resumed yesterday morning, Mr. Noble taking a devotional service.. Tho following resolution was' passed. "That the Churches hold an annual Dominion Conference, which shall control home and foreign mission work, and Bible-in-Schools and any other activities of the Churches of the Dominion ; the incoming executive to draft a constitution and present it to the three district conferences."

The Dominion Executive for the coming year was elected as follows: President, Mr. Ralph Gobbie (Christchurch); I'ice-president, Mr. H. Langford; secretary, Mr. W. J.-Mason.

The conference expressed its deepest sympathy with both Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Turner in their illness.

It was resolved that an aged preachers' fund bo sot up at once. The afternoon's session was opened by a devotional service led by Mr. S. G. Griffith, after which a discussion followed on the .work of tho Churches in regard to foreign missions.

. A foreign mission "rally" was hold last evening at Wellington South. The speakers were Mr. Grimstead and Mr. Griffith.

. This concluded the business of the conforeneo.
