Jl'Ewan, C W. Jones were present at the monthly mteotiing- of' the Wellington Harbour Beard held last evening... At a. special mooting'held prior to the ordinary meeting it was decided, on the motion of tho chairman: "That the amendment; to Nos. 113, 101, 192, 19G, 197, 201, 208, 23(1, and 241 of the Ueperal Bylaws of the Board,, having been duly approved by the Board (April 13, 1916), aud printed and advertised in compliance with Section 47 of The Harbours Act, 190S, be now adopted and passed; that the by-laws as amended come into l'orco on tl o first day of itay, 1916; and that the seal of the board be now affixed thereto." The finance, statomcut showed credits as follow:—Current account, Bs. •id'.; imprest account, ,£2925 Is. Sd'.; on fixed deposit, X'GO.OOO. The puymoiits were as follow:—lnterest, accounts, and wages, JE18.371; progress' payments on contracts', *E7C9 15s. 6d.-salaries for April, i 917 ss. Bd. Tho chairman reported :—(1) That the following tendons have been accepted for supply of coal and removal of ruVoish for the year ending March 31, 1917,: Coal, A Schedule,, .Wcstport-Stockton Coal-Co., Lid.;.B and C. Schedules, Blackball Coal Co.', Ltd-; D Schedule, D. Andrews; re-' moval of rubbish, llessrs. Hunt, Cottrell aud Co., Ltd. .'
