COMPETITIONS AT WOODVILLE.

KesultsHose and Hydrant Union (five men)—Dannevirke, 29 3-osec., 1;■ Hastings, 34-sec.. 2; Wanganui, 34 2-ssec., 3. The Wanganui men ran off, and the Carterton team was awarded third' place. Hose and Hydrant ithree men)—Dannevirke A, 28 3-ssec., 1; Masterton A, 28 4-5 sec., ,2; Napier A, 30 l-osec., 3. Hose, Keel, and Ladder (five men) — nui A, 56 3-ssec., 1; Dannevirke' "A, 57 l-ssec.,. 2; Hastings A, 58 l-osec., 3. Aggregate for tho Leipst Cup—Dannevirke and Hastings, 45 each, a tie. Supply Company Shield—Napier, 24. M'Millan Shield—Dannevirke, which also won Greathead's prize. I'ahiatua Licensed Victuallers' Cup—Marton A. During the demonstration ' Mr. D. M'Laren conducted a successful recruiting campaign with good results..
