HEAVY ATTACK ON A FRONTIER GARRISON

After receiving reinforcements, w'e repulsed an attack on' Saturday: by. five hundred men on our post a;t Duweidar. We killed forty and captured thirty Turks. "Later, an Australian column, acting in concert with the aeroplanes, harassed the enemy's retreat. The Turks suffered heavy casualties by the fire of the troops, and tie guns, and bombs 1 of the aeroplanes. "Simultaneously three thousand of the enemy, with .-three guns, attacked Katiyeli village. After a. severe engagement, they compelled the small Yeomanry garrison there to withdraw."

ACCORDING TO THE TURKISH REPORTS,
Amsterdam, April 24.
A Turkish communique states: "A force estimated at half a division attacked the Turkish positions at Felahie on Saturday. An immediate strong counter-attack compelled them to retreat to the trenches, after two hours' bayonet fighting, leaving two thousand dead; The Turkish losses were insignificant."
