FATAL TRAM ACCIDENT. By Telegraph—Press Association. ■ Dunedin, April 24. ' Henry Albert Smith, a tram conductor, yesterday fell from- the back of' a tramcar while adjusting the trolley pole on the -wire. He died later at the Hospital. He was thirty-five years of age and married. SEA CAPTAIN FOUND DEAD. Dunedin, April 24. Captain M'Dowell, of the ferry steamer Waikana, was found dead in bed this morning. Death was due to heart disease. . FOUND DEAD. • i Waihi, April 24. Elizabeth Ann Hicks, wife of Wm. Hicks, storekeeper, was found dead, lying on a sofa in the kitchen this afternoon. The Toom was full of gas. A flexible gas tube-from the wall nad an end introduced under the rug which was covered over the head of the deceased. All the family were away at the time. . The deceased had boon m a weak state _of health for some time. The indications pointed to suicido while mentally affected.
