Mr> James M'Gregor has resignad the sunerintendency of the Knox Sunday School after occupying the position for an unbroken, period of forty-nine years. Tho hairdressers of Masterton are increasing the price of liair-cutting as from Monday next. The Mastorton County Council is applying to the Government for a grant of £500 for metalling the Fornyhurst, Stronvar Road. It is also applying for a grant of £1000 for metalling the Westmere Road leading to the Poro Poro settlement.
