DAY AND NIGHT ATTRACTIONS,

Tliero arc not a great number of attractions of a holiday charactcr to mark tho season of Easter in Wellington. For racing people there will he the Wairarapa Racine Club's meeting oil Saturday and Monday, and the Folding Jockey Club's mooting on Monday and Wednesday next. To-morrow evening tho Wellington Professional Orchestra, assisted by Miss Minn Caklow and Mr. Haydn Beck, will present a delectable nrofiramino. The same evening; special programmes will he presented at tho picture theatres. On Saturday tlio outstanding nl fresco entertainment will bo. tho New Zealand Native Association's gala at tlie Athletic Park, -where a burlesque football match is to bo played between a team of Wellington girls and soldiers in liobble skirts, for patriotic purposes. On Saturday evening the Royal Strollers will commence a season at the Grand Opera. House, and the first presentation of "Our British Navy" pictures will take place at the Town Hall. A capital programme will bo presented afternoon and evening by Fullers' Vaudeville Company at His Majesty's Theatre, and interesting pictures will be sliown at Everybody's, the King's, and the' Empress Theatres. On Sunday evening a concert is to bewiven' by the Municipal Tramways Baral; • assisted by Miss Mina Caldow and Sir. Haydn, Beck. No special outdoor attractions are scheduled for Easter Monday. In. tlie afternoon nud evening, however, tlio Strollers will nive performances at the Grand Opera House. There will be two performances at His Majesty's Theatre, and pictures -will bo shown at 1 tlie King's, Empress, and Everybody's Theatres. Tuesday ("Anzac Day) will be observed strictly, as a memorial day to those who hava fought and died in tho Gallipoli campaign, instituted precisely a year ago. There will be a. memorial service at tho Town Hall in the afternoon, and a monster patriotic meeting will be held there in the evening, to mark a red-letter day in tlio history of the" New Zealand people.
