Dalton, £o 155., costs 235. 6d.; John Norton v. Daniel Wildermoth, £1 4s. 2d., costs 135.; same v. J. H. Dolman, £2 14s. 6d., costs 135.; It. G. Dun and Co. v. C. C Flanagan, £4 7s. fld., costs 10s.; Wellington' Publishing Co., Ltd., v. J. Pulford, 10s., costs 55.; Radfoid and Co. v. F. Adams, £2 6s. od., costs 135.; Ernest Sommerville v. Mrs. Aimee .Ferguson, ss. costs only; A. D. Kennedy and 1 Co., Ltd., v, L. Isherwood, Cll 13s. 9d., costs 30s. 6d. JUDGMENT SUMMONSES. In a judgment summons case L. W. Probert was ordered to pay the, Wellington Performing Musicians' Union of Workers the sum of £2 ss. 6d. by May 2 next, in default to bo imprisoned For 48 hours; and Percy Harold Taylor was ordered to pay Isabel Mary Taylor the sum of £19 2s. by instalments of 30s. per month. ' DEFENDED ACTION. In the defended action, John Wilson against Frank Pearce, a claim for £5 commission, judgment was given for the plaintiff for the amount claimed, with costs £1 125.-- Mr. G. G. Watson appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr. H. Hill f)o'r the'defendant. A RESERVED JUDGMENT. Reserved judgment was delivered by Mr.. D. G. A. S.M., in the case of the City Council v. Charles John Duffy. The defendant was charged with unlawfully purchasing milk from a dairy which was not registered in accordance with the regulations under the Dairy Industry Act, 1908. The facts were admitted, but a plea of not guilty was entered, and legal argument centred on the interpretation of the regulations. The Magistrato expressed the opinion yesterday that under Regulation 26 a conviction must' be recorded, and a fine of £5. with costs £1 125., was imposed. The Citv Solicitor (Mr. J O'Shea) appeared for the City Council, the defendant being represented by Mr. H. I'. O'Leary. POLICE OASES. Police cases were dealt with by Mr. D. G. A. Cooper, S.M. Alfred John Hellier was sentenced v to seven days imprisonment on two charges of common theft. ' , , , William Gunn was remanded to appear at Taihape on April 26 ort a charge of obtaining the sum or hi ids. by means of false pretences. For travelling from Lyttelton to Wellington by the Mararoa without Wing his fare,' Peter Buttola was fined 10s., and ordered to pay the amount of the fare to the Union Company. In default of payment, he is to go to gaol for three Robert Henderson wbb fined £3 for using obscene language, the alternative being three days' imprisonment. _ Another defendant, also named Robert Henderson, was also fined for using obscene lniiguaa;e, the penalty in his case being £2." Mr. H. F. O'Leary defended in this case. , Edward Jackson, f barged with drunkenncss and indecency, was fined sums totalling £3, in default to go to gaol for seven dnvs. Five first-offending inebriates were also dealt with.
