RACEHORSE RAFFLE
MYSTIFICATION - STEPDAUGHTER FILLY, TO BE WON FOE 2s. 6d. A novelty in the way of art unions is advertised in this issue, the prize- being a thoroughbred yearling filly by Mystification—Stepdaughter. This filly ,was, bred by Mr. George Hunter, M.P., of Porangahau Hawko'e Bay, and has been presented by him to the Soldiers' Queen Committee, Dannovirko District Patriotic Queen Carnival, which is now being held, in aid of the Wounded Soldiers' Fund. This filly is a half-sister to Lord , Eenown. Her sire, Mystification, -as all followers of. turf events know, 'has a long list ,of successes to his credit.. The committee who are running the art union', in order to realise as much as possible for the Wounded Soldiers' Fund, have fixed the price of the tickets at 2s. 6d. Mr. George Hunter, Mr. Henry Gaisford, and Mr.. E. A. Ransom, Mayor of Dannevirko, will supervise the drawing, which will take place in Daunevirke on Tuesday, May 9. Thoso who wish to obtain ticket are advised to write at once, as little time remains before the drawing takes place. Tiokets may bo obtained from the hon. secretary, Soldiers' Queen Committee, P.O. Box 123, Dannevirke.
