"BRITAIN PREPARED"
ME, MASSEY'S OPINIONS.
The Prime Minister addressed the crowd in; the King's Theatre last night concerning the picturo now being-shown'there, Britain Prepared." It is certainly one ot the most wonderful films ever recorded, and public notice wa,s taken of it in England by the lit Hon. Arthur Balfour First Lord of the Admiralty. Mr.Jlassey, explaining that he had x boon invited by the unnagciuent to speak, 6aid that he desired to congratulate the proprietors on their enterprise in obtaining and shoving such an excellent picture He was quite sure that its-,exhibition i n this country would do a tremendous amount of good by bringing home to great numbers of people some realisation of Hie activities of the British people in carrying on'the great war. Mr. Massey spoke generally of the subject matter o( ' the" pictures—the gigantic, task of Britain in raising and equipping and training her huge armies, and of the splendid preparedness of her mighty Navy. "I don't intend.to attempt anything in the way of recruiting to-night," said Mr. Jlasssr. "Under Iho circumstances, I don't think it would be fair. But in any case it is ' not necessary, because I am certain that those pictures speak louder than words, and if those pictures do not convince th« men who see them, young men able to go, who have not yet made up their minds!' then no words of mine would do so."
