The Wellington Central Chamber of Commerce has decided to approach the - coastal shipping companies in regard to tlio over-carriage of cargo, _ Mr, 11. Reed said he knew of cases in which goods shipped at Dimedin Tor Wellington had.been ovor-enrried to Auolcland and back to Dnncdin again, and it was five weeks before they wore landed in Wellington. Ho further stated that it was impossible for the shipping companies to try to keep a timo-tablo with the class of steamers at present employed on the East Coast service. If complaint was made all the satisfaction one got was that labour was scarce and that the ■'companies were doing fcreir host under the circumstances!
