VICTORIA COLLEGE GRADUATES 1 ASSOCIATION —* : The eleventh annual meeting of tho Wctona Dniversitv College Graduates' Association was held on Monday night. Mi'- S. Eichelbaum presided. A'feature of the annual report, which was regarded with much appreciation, was tho list of those graduates of tlie college who nad gone upon active service in tlin present war. It was felt to be no ismal] matter for congratulation, considering tlie short period during whicli Victoria College has been in existence, and con : ' s U! 6 . r '. n g tlie small number of graduates eligible for active service, that over ?% graduates could- now bo numbered in the Expeditionary Forces. Following the precedent set at the last general mooting, it was resolved to donate a further.sum of £5 ss. for a patriotic purpose. A suggestion was outlined to the meeting to hold a reunion of all past and present students of the college as soon as possible after the conclusion of the war. Such reunions are most popular and successful functions in American universities, and it was thought that the large influx of old students of the college, that will necessarily occur after the war, would offer an excellent opportunity for holding such'a reunion. lb was determined to support -the proposal as. strongly as possible. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr. S. Eichelbaum; secretary, Mr. P. B. Broad; treasurer, Mr: G. G. G. AVateoii; committee, Misses G. Cooke, M. E. Hales, and I. "Watson, and Messrs. P.P. Wilson, H. E. Evans, and V. B. Willis. The Grand Trunk Pacific Railway uses oil on 700 miles of its .track in Western Canada. To make this possible the company had to complete and set up oil plants at. several points. Economy and the elimination of smoke and' the greater safety of'the forest ranges near tho line are the advantages of oil fuel. WW UL & & . ■ For good r I cookery ' B • always get out, the Com .
