ANZAC DAY

WHAT OP THE HEROES OP

Y BEACH ?

By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright

(Rec. April 17, 10.30 p.m.)

London, April 17. A survivor of the Twenty-ninth Division writes to "The Times":—"The great landing at Gallipoli seems now to be entirely claimed for the Anzac-s. One never reads a paper without seeing tlio praise of Anzaos, and quite rightly, but what of the British, whoso casualties were threefold? The landing would have been impossible except for the Twenty-ninth Division, the 'East Lancashire Division, and the Naval Division. A service is being held in memory of the Anzacs, but surely the King desires to honour the heroes of Morto Bay arid Y Beach."
