HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. A new and varied programme is set down by the Fuller Vaudeville Proprietary lor presentation at His Majesty s Theatre this evening. New artists will appear, .and those remaining from 'ast week's bill will all be seen in new specialties. An attractive item should be the first appearanco of Sharratt and Lanff, a pair of English entertainers, who specialise in songs at the niano, also fancy dancins. Another important first appearanco will be that of Mr. Sydney Jones, a "tt olsti vocalist and comedian, who will render popular songs and stories of his native country. Miss Agnes Rawes, an English soprano vocalist, will mako heir New Zealand debut'in a repertoire of highclass ballads. Stable and Malfe, the dainty maid and tho clumsy page, have been re-engaged for a farewell season. Fresh specialties will be provided by Milner and Storey, comedians; M'Conxtell and Austin, trick cyclists; The Pauiastos, comedians; The Glockers, water jugglers; Eddie- Burns, The Harrison Stuart Duo. The. programme will be repeated nightly duvvns the week, excepting Good "Firday. A matinee will be given on Saturday. "BRITAIN PREPARED." . Tho management of tho King's Theatre state that Their Excellencies the -Governor and the Countess of Liverpool kavo expressed their intention of being present at the first screening of "Britain, Prepared" this' evening at the lung s Theatre. The London "Daily Express, in speaking of this series of pictures, said;—" All who would understand the war, and the way our Navy and Army wage it, and who would read their daily papers with increased knowledge and interest, should see' Britain Prepared. The pictures are triumphs of clearness and intimacy. They bring tho training of our Army and its war work, the daily and mighty vigil and movements of the Grand Fleet in the North Sea straight home to the eyes and hearts of the be-, holders." There will be a matinee each day, .commencing to-day. and seats may be booked at the Bristol without extra charge. • The Hon. J. Allen will address to-night's audience; the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. "IV. F. Massev) on Tuesday, and Sir Joseph Ward on Wednesday. "JOHN GLATDFs HONOUR," "John Glayde's Honour," to be shown at 'Everybody's to-day, was ono of the Frohman American dramatio successes, : and it had a long run through the. various States.of America. Miss Mary Lawton and Aubrey Smith, two of Americas stage favourites, play the leading pnrts m this story, which concerns the fortunes of an American capitalist. Failing m attempts to oust the capitalist from the supremacy b£ the monoy market, efforts arc made to undermine him in his wifes Tho wife, thinking he is neglectful! of her, enters into the gaiety of the social world, where she meets her husband's business rival. Tho border-line of a dangerous flirtation is skirted, and many mi'sornble moments are spent before husband and wife become reconciled to each. • other.
