The Wanganui Military Hospital Guild, which is accomplishing splendid ■work for the sick and wounded soldiers in hospital, has held several exhibitions from time to time of the results of its notivities, and on Wednesday another of these displays was held, the work this time being the result of what had been achieved in the space of five weeks.- It was held in the guild's rooms, and the goods, which included a very wide assortment of garments, were arranged to the best v advantage. The list included 120 sets'of pyjamas, 50 lounge suits, a gross of pairs of sox, besides shirts, mufflers, balaclavas, mittens, treasure bags, etc. There is no doubt that. many a soldier will be delighted when the consignment , reaches its destination. The lounge suit pockets each contained'a writing _ pad,; wallet, complete, khaki handkerchief, pipe and plug of tobacco, while each pyiama suit contained a handkerchief, writing pad, wallet, tooth brush, and a cake of soap. 11l addition to the above articles, a consignment of tinned sweets, games, etc., also goos forward. The guild. rooms and approaches were decorated with bunting and patriotic colours. At the rear of the building the St. Vincent do Paul Society had a large tent stocked with home produce. The guild's stalls were out in the street, an innovation which served :i double purpose, as it brought tho display of work under tho direct notice of. tho public. The various cialls wero arranged as follow.—Flowers, fruit, and produce, Me.sclames Caiman and T ; Taylor; tearoom, Mrs. J.
