To this statement Lielit.-Colonel "Adams, .the Camp Commandant, takes exception. f'When the disturbance occurred," he says, ."the 13tli 'Reinforcements were out on night manoeuvres,: and therefore , could not ■possibly ..have been concerned ; , in the disorder. They.foel rather keenly on the matter, - and- I think it is only right that this should bo made public." "Hae the matter been sifted and the offenders identified as belonging to any, particular corps?" Lieut.-Cownei Adams ; was asked. "In th,e oircumstances," he'replied, "it is not'easy to get .proof. The disturbers ,of tho peace included odds and ends ■ 'from ' this, tlhat. and ' the other body—a few of the 13th, a few from the 12th, and so on. But the 13th Reinforcements, as a body, should not be regarded as the culprits."
