At a meeting of seventy members of the Unionist War Committee it was decided that Sir Edward Garson should submit the motion embodying a general conscription policy, as expressed in the resolution of March 21. It is stated _ that it is believed'that fifty-votes in' favour of general compulsor; military service are certain, while one hundred are expected, and the latter is regarded as a sufficient number to force the Cabinet to adopt such a measure or face the disruption of the Coalition Ministry. NOTICE OF MOTION. (Rec. April 13, 8.25 p.m.) London, April 12. In tho House of Commons Sir Ed< ward Carson gave notice of motion to amend the Military Service Act to seciire as far as possible equality of sacrifice on the part of every man of military age, and rendering all men liable to military service.
