The alleged ,libel con-' siated in the "Argus" referring to'the political agreement not to contest elections during war time, and declaring that "Herr Holman and his party bad scrapped 'tlio : piece of paper wliereon the patriotic truce was, written." Mr. Holman 1 s father gave evidenced that his son's parentage on botE" sideawas English. . 1 Replying to the Chief Justice's miestion, "Are you,,or have you ever, been of German- sympathy?"
