Christohurch, April 10. i At the Supremo Court, Frederick Jolm Lewis, found guilty of indecent assault, was sentenced to ton years' imprisonment and declared an habitual criminal. Thomas. A. Orooke, for a series of thefts, was sent to gaol for five years. Noel D. Howard', for breaking and entering, was ordered to be kept in detention for reformative treatment in Invereargiil Prison. William floury- Grant, on the same counts, was recommitted to the Burnham School. George Albert Hesselyn, a returned soldier, on a charge .of forging, was ordered to come up for sentence when called upon. James A. Robertson, who forged a document, was fined £5 1 Clarence Barton Lye, charged with ' theft, offered to enlist. lie ivas :e- ---' maiided till May 1. Gordon If ugh Ayson, theft from a postal jacket, wos admitted, to probation for one year.
