TENDERS are invited for the transport of East Indian Emigrants, for a period of three years from the Ist October, 1916, from the ports of Calcutta and (or) Madras to Suva, Fiji, and for tho transport of Indian Immigrants returning from Suva, Fiji, to either of the above ports. Tenders will bo conside.-ed for a period of three years as aforesaid, as also alternative tenders for a period of two years or ono year from the Ist October, 1916. Tho vessols .to bo provided are to be steamers fitted for the conveyance of emigrants, in complianco -with tho requirements of tho Indian Emigration Act, XXI, 1883, and tho rules made -under its provisions; and the service is to be of such a character as to permit of tho conveyance of 3500 emigrants in any ono year, if required by tho Government. Tenders should bo submitted for tho conveyance at a fixed rate of passage money for each emigrant of the age of 10 years and ovej, and for each emigrant under the age of 10 years. Tenders are to be addressed to the Colonial Secretary, Fiji, and will bo received up to noon on the 30th day of June, 1916.
