April TO, 8.40 p.m.) A German communique states that four German naval aeroplanes dropped twenty bombs over the Russian aerodrome at Oesel, and compelled two Russian aeroplanes to descend. T" RUSSIAN OFFICIAL COMMUNIQUE. • (Rec. April 10, 8,40 p.m.) PfltrOjgrad, April 9. A Russian official communique states: "A violent artillery duel _ occurred opposite Povava. The enemy attempted an attack, but was driven back. "The Turks in tho coastal rcjrion of- the Caucasus mi><fci three uosucconerul attacks on our position on the rieit bank of the Taar Dere,."
HIGH COMMISSIONER'S EEPORT. Tho High Commissioner reports:— , London, April 10, 4 a.m. "Pctrograd reports: At Lake Narotch a German offensive was repulsed. "In the Caucasus, in the sea district, the Turks thrice fruitlessly tried to advance. Tho Hussiaus are advancing in the Upper Cborok system."
