RUA'S FOLLOWERS
INQUEST OPENED AT ROTORUA. (By Tehwaph.—Pvpm Association.! Rotorua, April 8. Tho Maori prisoners, except Eua, appeared before. Mr. 11. W. Dyer, S.M., this morning, charged with assaulting and obstructing the police. A remand was granted, on the application of Sergeant Cummings, till April'l7. The accused will be sent to Auckland on Monday, and returned here for _ hearing. An inquest on the Maoris killed was opened. Dr. Brewster's evidence was taken, and the inquest adjourned 'tillApril 19'. Eua 'was not brought up, as ho is a sentenced prisoner, and goes to gaol on the original warrant of commitment. Ilie charge against him will bo formulated Jatcr.
