THE CAMPAIGN OF CLEANLINESS.
Sir,—The municipal authorities have, like- sleepy sparrows, begun to twitter' slightly as to the wisdom of. having 'our picture theatres disinfected "wliejl necessary." Let them wake .up to thoir duty and insist, in the interest of public health, that these places, especially continuous pitcure theatres, shall ho thoroughly fumigated. l This could be done at a minimum of expense, and witli no inconvenience to _,tho proprietors by hermetically sealing-the theatres :on a Saturday evening and 'by thoroughly fumigating the building- for twqrityrfoiir hours, and rid 'it of the germs of disease. ; These, continuous picture theatres, from •' wliicli the healthgiving sunlight is carefully . excluded, should claim the early and most earnest attention of our appointed guardians of the -public health. If this is not done it behoves all' parents to see that their young children do. not frequent theso places.. Thanking you in anticipation,— 1 am, etc., . ' ACTION FRONT, Brooklyn, April 7, 1916.
