FATE OF SUFFERING CHILDREN. 'By Telegraph.— I'--"-- .■ Rotorua, April 7. On Thursday, Mr.- M'Connoll Hayes, of Mokai, reported to tho police that one of his children'was dead, that four others were seriously .ill, and that no doctor was available. Dr. Bertram went out and found the children apparently suffering from acute onteritis. He. ascertained that they had eaten raw mushrooms, and thoy may have eaten fungus; the symptoms wero consistent with poisoning. One child, Rene, three years and ten months, died on Tuosday; another, 16 months, lato last niglit; and two others are in a critical ooiitfition.
