M'Kenna (Chancellor of the Exche. quer) moved to stop the Parliamentary salary of,members who'are drawipg full pay from the military or naval forces Sir Frederick Banbury (Unionist) moved as an amendment to abolish the payment of members.: This evoked much opposition, on the ground that the mover was introducing •a tSate political subject at such time, several members characterising it as a breach of the political truce. The amendment was rejected by 247 votes to 32. Mr. M'Kenna withdrew his motion.
