His Excellency the Governor has made tho following appointments to tho Coolt Islands Public Service :tt-

To be head teacher of the Arorangi School at Rarotonga, and also to be Superintendent of the schools in the Cook Islands (other than the Island of Niiie) —Mr. Herbert Rogers. To be head teacher of the Takitumu School, Rarotonga—Mr. William Charles Smith.
