OF THE NIGHT
By Telegraph—PreEs Association— Copyright
(Rec. April 6, 8.30 p.m.) Paris, April 5. The American Chamber of Commerce has cabled President Wilson as follows: "Germany, in defiance of the opinions of mankind and in viola- , tion of every principle of humanity, like an assassin of. the night, treacherously and without notice, has again struck down unarmed merchant passenger ships, sending scores of helpless men, women, and children to their doom. On behalf of humanity, we demand that this intolerable situation shall cease; on behalf of our murdered and maimed follow citizens on board the' Englishman and the Sussex, wo protest against the continuance of diplomatic relations with a Government whose blood-madness, ferocity, and lawlessness has brought upon itself the execration of the whole of the civilised world."
