Mr. Asquith (tho British Premier) on leaving »ent a message to the Italian peoplo,~paying a tribute to the incomparable bravery and tenacity of the army, which was struggling against almost insurmountable difficulties. Ho felt more than over, convinced of the certainty of victory. Mr. Asquith, M. Ribot (French. Minister for Finance), and M. Briand (French Premier), held a couuoil of war on board a special train.
