Joimsonvilh&people will be interested to hear of Mr. George Willis, who is now serving with the Canadian Forces, he being a mounted captain in command of a company in the famous Canadian Scottish. Komiy, his younger brotlioi, who also went to Canada two years ago, is also at the. front, 1 being u private in his brother's company. Willis might well be proud of her family, her three other sons, Frank, Cecil, and Basil all being with the New Zealand Expeditionary Foice; Miss Ida Willis is also a nurse with the New Zcalandors, being first with the Samoa Contingent and now in Egypt. I'oggy,- tho youngest daughter, is also a nurse in the Wellington Hospital, ready to go also when her turn comes. Mrs. Willis is tho widow of the late A'. J. Willis, clerk of tho Executive Council, the family lived at Johnsonville for twenty years, but Mrs. Willis now resides in Wadeßtown. N.Z.N.A. Ladles' Guild. The weekly mooting ,of the Natives' Association Ladies' Guild was held at TTieir rooms on Thursday afternoon. The weekly levy of 6d. per'member is being well kept up, and the comforts sent to the soldiers from this fund are very much appreciated. The social jind dance on Wednesday, April 5, is being looked forward to. The arrangements for the burlesque football match at the Athletic Park on Saturday, April 15, are well forward, and should be a great success. The 112 th meeting of the Richmond Free Kindergarten Council was held at Taranaki Street on Monday, April 3. Present were: Mesdames Gul (in the chair), Clarke, Andersen, Dkon, Coward, D. A. Ewen, Misses England, Stowe, Helyer, Hiscock, Scaton (lion, secretary). A letter of resignation from Miss Finlayson was received with much regret. "It was proposed by Mrs. Andersen, seconded by Mrs. Dixon, that the annual meeting bo held on May 2. Bills toi tlie amount of £49 ss. id. were passed for payment.
