. Twenty-two lots from the' Waikanae Stud, inclnding the sires Achilles, and 'Birkpiihoad, are to be shipped to Sydney next week for the Easter sales.
The imported horse Panmure met with ft mishap while training on Tuesday morning, and the services of Veterinary: Crosslef had tocbe scoured for him. • The chestnut horse was in a particularly bad may. and has been scratched for the Thompson Handicap at the forthcoming Wellington meeting. '
•T.'F. .TefTeral, with Chortle, Multiplication, Multiply, and Chemise, arrived at Trentham en Wednesday night. The. fivstnamed is spoken of as an unlikely starter in the Thompson Handicap, but he will be a runner in the Tvaflwny"Handicap, and Multiplication will carry the black and white colours in the big mile.
