MASTERTON NOTES
The Rev. S, J. Serpell, of the Methodist Church, who has been transferred to the Thames, was on Tuesday evening entertained by the congregation or the church and given a cordial .send-off. He was presented with a purse of sovereigns, and Miss Serpell with a clock, tray, and other articles. Mr. Serpell leaves for the Thames on' Thursday. A sitting of the Native Land Court .was held hero on Tuesday, before Judge Gilfedder, when a number' of partition cases and' a succession case were dealt with. v .
