The man failed to pass, and, on being asked to truthfully _ state his age, said ho was 57. He said he had played football and cricket until he was nearly 40 years of age, and only the previous Sunday walked from Auckland to Pnpakura and homo again the same evening—a roturn journey of about 35 miles.
