THE AERO-NAVAL FIGHT OFF THE NORTH FRISIANS,
REPORTS BY TRAVELLERS (Reo. March 28, 3 p.m.)' Copenhagen, March 27. Travellers from Schleswig-Holstein Bay that the British burned a granary at Randernp, smashed up a largo German battlo seaplane, and bombed Hoyer and Tondcrn. The "Politiken" estimates that five German cruisers, twenty destroyers, five battlo hydroplanes, and a Zeppelin, took pait in the engagement. The crew of tho Saedding lightship state that tho aeroplane shells destroyed a British torpedo boat. The cerman official report. (Rec. March 28, 3 p.m.) London, March 27. . A wireless message- from Berlin states: —"English naval forces carried out an aeroplane attack on the. North Frisian coast. The attack failed completely. Two' armed German fishing steamers on outpost service fell victims. Our naval aeroplanes attacked and scored_ a number of hits, seriously damaging an English destroyer. "We immediately sent out forces, a few torpedo boats only. These came into touch with the retreating enemy. One of these torpedo boats has not yet returned." The message adds that five English hydroplanes attacked the airship sheds, m Northern Schleswig, ; and that three, inoluding a battle-plane, were, brought down by the German; anti-aircraft section. Five of,the airmen were made prisoner. Bombs dropped in the neighbourhood of Hoyfrschleuse did no damage.
