ONE HUNDRED LIVES LOST. London, March 27. It is believed that a hundred lives were lost in the Sussex. Probably most of the passengers in the forecabiu were killed by the explosion.. Twenty passengers in the saloon were mostly killed or'wounded.

The verdict at the inquest on those who lost their lives on board the Sussex was that the steamer was torpedoed, All the twenty-five Americans who were on board were saved.
