DANELLES. • The story of the Gallipoli campaign, which placed -upon Australian and New Zealand soldiers a, mantlo of iraperisheble glory, was first given to the world by the. pen of Mr. Ashniead Bartlett, and it is only to be expected- that his visit to New Zealand mil arouse great interest. The distinguished war correspondent is just finishing a lecture tour of Australia, where, he has been-favoured with exceptionally large audiences, and.various public and private associations have feted Mr. wherever, he has appeared. The famous war correspondent opens has New Zealand tour in Wellington, and will give two lectures in the Town Hall on April 13 and April 15; Mr.Bartlett's lectures will, to quote his own words; be "a plain, unvarnished . account of the Gallipoli campaign. I want you to understand that I am not here in any spirit of carping criticism. If'there have been errors, well, they belong to the past, and anything that is yet to be done belongs to the future.". To illustrate his lecture, Mr. Bartlett will show a Unrge number of Tiews which he took at the Dardan-. elles. In addition to, dealing with the Gallipoli campaign, the lecturer will review the present situation of the war on all fronts. The. box plans will be, available at the Bristol on Saturday, April 8.
