'_—*—:— -.'■ ■ TIPPED OUT OF A CART. An accident happened to a lad named Joseph Smith, of Clareville, who is in the employ of Messrs. Lindop and Knutson, grocers, Carterton. The lad was in the act of delivering some grassseed, and was putting the bag towards the tail of the cart, when the horse moved off, tipping both seed and boy out. Smith fell heavily to the ground and dislocated, his shoulder-blade. After receiving medical attention, .the lad was removed to the Masterton Hospital. SCALDED TO DEATH. . William Leslie Hepburn, aged _ 33, while engaged painting the Tahiti. in Port Chalmers dock on Saturday, fell from.the scaffolding to the dock f)oor,_ and received injuries to the head' from' which he died yesterday morning. POSITION IN AUCKLAND., Auckland, March 27. Seven cases of infantile paralysis were reported,from the country to-day, hut none from 1 the city.
